Meet Scott Emmett
Scott Emmett is the husband of one wife, the father of three grown children, and grandfather to one glorious little girl. Scott was born in Massachusetts but was raised in the Texas Panhandle where a part of his heart remains to this day. Scott is retired from the US Army after a 21+ year career and now makes his home in central Indiana where the rest of his heart is.
He is an author and speechmaker of short stories focusing on our commonalities in everyday American life. Scott looks for the humor, inspiration, and instruction in the events of life and the people that we meet there everyday. His work can be found at his website as well as in the occasional newspapers that have the nerve and space to publish his column, A Commoner’s Life.
